John Fiore Racing
In 1984, John was born into a racing family. John’s Dad, Vic Fiore had been a drag racer from an early age and continues to race to this day. John’s infatuation with cars started with helping and learning from his Dad. John began his racing career in BMX bicycles at just seven years old. He won the first race he ever entered as well as his first national event. In his time in BMX, John amassed many dozens of race wins, he won two Connecticut state championships, finished 3rd in the US open, and ranked 6th in the country.
In 2001, John’s family moved to Pennsylvania and it didn’t take long for John to fall in love with sprint cars, which remain very popular in Pennsylvania. After racing go-karts for two years, John made the leap into full size sprint cars in 2005. John raced for 3 seasons prior to enlisting in the Army. After serving for 7 years as a Tanker and completing two combat deployments, John retired due to medical reasons. After retirement, John wasted no time in returning to motorsports. John raced sprint cars for 7 more years and worked for several professional race teams as a mechanic/engineer. John also drag races and enjoys building/engineering race cars. Every race car John has owned, he built.
Over many years, John dreamed of racing the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It encompasses so many different types of race cars and is one of the ultimate tests for both driver and machine. In 2022, John left sprint car racing to concentrate on building and developing a car to race at Pikes Peak with a goal of making the 2023 running. With work still in progress, we hope to bring you along on our journey to the Peak!
